Maternity and Wearing Softshell Jacket / Jacket Alice 2
– 2 inserts are included in the package – maternity and carrier, both zipped into the jacket zipper
– the jacket has a zipper on the back, so it is designed to be worn on the front of the child's body and on the back (the carrier can be inserted into either the front or back zipper)
– without the liner it will serve you as a regular women's jacket for many years to come
– detachable neckband for mom
– hoods for mother and child – both with size regulation so they don't fall off even in the wind, also roomy for a hat or ponytail
– patches with a thumb hole in the sleeves
– side zip pockets
– download in the passport
– drawstring hem – you will appreciate it with a pregnancy or carrying insert
– slits at the bottom of the sides prevent the zipper from straining during squatting, etc.
– zipper protection under the chin
– full-length zipper cover – prevents water from leaking or penetrating through the zipper
– 45cm wide, adjustable under the baby's bottom
The jacket itself does not serve as a carrier. The child must be carried in a scarf or other carrier, the jacket is only put on when the child is secured in this way.
The jacket is made of softshell.
Softshell is:
– soft, lightweight material, always warm to the touch on the inside
– ideal from autumn to spring
– invaluable for active people and children who are always on the move
– doesn't blow out and holds the heat generated by the body during movement
– dirt-resistant – easy to clean with a damp cloth, no need to wash it often
The so called winter softshell from which this jacket is made is:
– 3-layer functional material
– outer layer – water-repellent polyester
– middle layer – breathable polyurethane membrane
– inner layer – warm fleece (100% polyester)
– all together we have a weight of about 300-320gr/m2
– parameters: waterproofness 10.000mm and breathability 3.000g/m2/24h, in short it is called 10/3
Winter softshells are called winter softshells because their inner layer is made of fleece, which is always warm to the touch. The fleece forms an additional insulation layer to the waterproof layer and the inner funkation membrane. But be careful! Winter softshell is not really a "winter" material. You can also use it in winter, but in sub-zero temperatures only with additional insulation. Winter softshell is recommended for temperatures above zero, ideally from +5 degrees. When it's below zero, be sure to opt for insulated winter clothing. Thus, winter softshell is ideal for autumn, spring and milder winter.
If you want to keep your softshell for the winter, you need to insulate it with more warm base layers. It also depends on what kind of physical activity you will wear the softshell jacket for. Softshell itself is not very warm, but it can keep the heat perfectly, does not waterproof and does not blow. If you and your child are in a carrier or scarf under the jacket, you give off enough heat together that a softshell jacket will last you and your child all winter long. But if you're a true "ice cream", softshell will not satisfy you in the cold and choose a classically insulated winter jacket.
