Hess was founded by Günter Hess in the small German town of Olbernhau in 1990. At first, only the owner worked on the toys in the cellar and garage, today it employs more than 50 people. All toys are assembled by hand. Hess focuses on babies and toddlers, so the safety of toys that meet EN 71 standard and other safety regulations is important. It produces a wide range of colourful and innovative toys for children. From dummies with chains, rattles, puzzles to rocking horses, all toys are 100% made in Germany. Hess only uses local wood such as beech and maple and always processes it with respect for the environment and using environmentally friendly materials.
