And what about when you start learning to play it! You can start playing the hurdy-gurdy by turning the crank, and the pitch of the melodic string can then be easily controlled with six keys. The second, constantly playing (bourdon) string plays in harmony with the melodic string at a set interval (fourth, fifth, octave). The instrument can be easily and very finely tuned using the pegs on the head thanks to the reduction gears. The constantly playing string can be dampened with a small lever, not only for easier tuning. The position and contact of the strings with the friction wheel can be adjusted with the rotary knobs on the bridge. For a clear sound, the kit includes rosin for coating the friction wheel.
